There it is, the Optimus Vu, a smartphone that comes with a large 5-inch screen with 4:3 aspect ratio. That means it packs more real estate into the display compared to other 5 inchers and is comparatively wider. That could potentially be good news for multimedia junkies wanting to see more content on their devices. Aside from the touchscreen, no other specs were spilled in the vid although Datacider reportedly has an image of the device and tells us the goodies under its hood. Think Android Gingerbread, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm APQ8060 SoC, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, NFC, and an 8-megapixel shooter. Decent but not impressive although there’s a good chance that may change since LG hasn’t confirmed much yet.
What’s interesting to note is that the screen seems to have a February 21 date stamp. Does this mean it’ll be officially unveiled in less than 2 weeks? We don’t know but, as always, we’ll be keeping watch.
