In case you didn’t know, Samsung Philippines treated us with the Tab Lab event a couple of days ago where potential buyers could get as much as a whopping P25,000 off the Galaxy Tab 7.7’s SRP. But how much is its official asking price? During that time all we knew was that attendees would get a huge discount but as it turns out, the device will actually sell for P32,990 or almost P8,000 over the max price cut you’ll get from the event. And it’s available now, too!
The Galaxy Tab 7.7’s SRP is over our guesstimate of about P27,000 – P29,000 (the price range that its larger, albeit older sibling, the Galaxy Tab 8.9, initially belonged to). We think that the price can be attributed to the combination of slightly better specs and the fact that it’s the first-ever Super AMOLED tablet. Given that it sells for P32,990, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 will be in direct competition in terms of pricing with the quad-core, Ice Cream Sandwich-flavored ASUS Transformer Prime which is literally just P5 more. Anyway, you could check out the list below for its full specs.
